When my husband and I lived in NYC, we would often entertain people in the fall on “Football Saturday” to watch Notre Dame play whoever it was that week. It was always a nice distraction from the game whenever we were feeding a crowd, and it would almost always entail a bowl of this chili with a side of cornbread. I originally would make it with ground turkey, so choose your protein, but we switched to beef a few years in and found it had a bit more flavor (of course…sorry, turkey fans).
