Chicken, Butternut Squash, and Wild Rice Stew
I'm always looking for a good slow cooker recipe, and my dear friend, Beth, from Palm Beach Lately, knows this and sent it to me a few years ago. There is something beyond satisfying about cooking up a meal while the kids are at school, washing all of the dishes, and being able to come home after many after-school activities and a warm meal is waiting for you. This requires a little leg work in the beginning, but I think all the best slow cooker recipes do. Side note: Please make sure you always sear any meat before putting it in a slow cooker - otherwise, you don't get the depth of flavor.
