Weekly Menu 12.13-12.19

It's a really mild, warm day here in Connecticut, with lots of snow and cold weather in the forecast for the rest of the week. I'm going to soak up this warm weather today and make turkey burgers. These are a staple during the spring and summer for us, served on a toasted English muffin with carmelized onions.

After crowdsourcing on Instagram, I got an overwhelming response from people to make some short ribs, so I'm working on a new recipe for Monday. The rest of the week I'm keeping it simple until Saturday when I'll be stewing my meatballs low and slow. This is a recipe that is adapted from my Grammie on my mom's side, so it has a LONG Italian history. Dare I share it with all of you? And for those wondering - "crunchy salad" is a basic salad with iceberg lettuce. My kids have always referred to it as "crunchy." Lots of recipes to come!

Hi, thanks for stopping by!

Food, puzzles, family, friends, music, dance...these are a few of my favorite things (not necessarily in that order!). Cooking has always been a large part of who I am.

Let the posts
