BBQ Short Ribs

I crowd sourced some meals people wanted me to try this week, and a bunch of people wanted me to cook short ribs. Let me be honest here - I've never cooked short ribs before. My husband typically doesn't like them due to how rich they can be, and so I made it my mission to try to find a recipe that wasn't braised in red wine, etc. I found this recipe from my go-to, Once Upon a Chef, and I found it incredibly easy to make and hardly any hands-on time. It's going to become part of our weekly meal rotation, especially during these colder months. I have to say, I made a mistake when doing this. While measuring the cayenne, which called for only 1/4tsp, I added 1tsp. EEK! You can imagine how nervous I got since cayenne really packs some heat. I was able to remove some, and I probably ended up with about 1/2tsp in the overall sauce. This was a VERY good mistake in the end. The heat was perfect for both the adult palettes as well as the kiddos. I also added a little more garlic powder because I'm Italian and I never skimp on garlic.

Here's a pic of what you'll need. See the full recipe below!

Food, puzzles, family, friends, music, dance...these are a few of my favorite things (not necessarily in that order!). Cooking has always been a large part of who I am.
